Biography: Candice Phang aka Puffingmuffin (b.19xx), is an illustrator and character designer based in Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BA in Arts (Architecture) and also holds an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications. This amalgamation of both professions has allowed her to view art from a unique perspective.
Her work is characterised by whimsical characters that are clad in clown-like features and dreamy colours. Drawing inspiration from nature, pop culture and life itself, she explores the twisted, dark yet lighthearted bond that brings these elements together. Through her art, she hopes to give another perspective of life – to take life more seriously in a less serious way.
